Kirsten McGregor, Principal of SAGAX Associates, LLC since 2013, is an Economic Recovery and Development Consultant supporting governments, nonprofit organizations, public-private partnerships, and businesses respond to and prepare for economic disruptions and disasters.
Some of her major assignments include: Senior Policy Advisor on President Obama’s Hurricane Sandy Task Force, Lead Economic Recovery Coordinator Consultant with J&M Global for the US Virgin Islands Hurricanes Irma and Maria Recovery, Lead Economic Recovery Coordinator through US Department of Commerce and FEMA for Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Recovery, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Coordinator US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, Deputy Director of the Delaware Economic Development Office, and Founder & Executive Director of Open Bracket Delaware.
Kirsten was recently recognized by Thinkers360 as member of the Top 50 international COVID-19 thought leaders. In 2018, Kirsten was recognized by Delaware Today magazine as a leading woman in business. Kirsten graduated with departmental honors with a Government concentration from Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, PA) and has a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) with a concentration on economic development. She is certified in Commercial Real Estate Development by the Urban Land Institute and she studied comparative politics and policy at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Kirsten is a member of the Delaware Fund for Women where she served as Chair of the Grant Committee and was a Member of the Board of Directors and is also a member of the Delaware Forum of Executive Women where she also served on the Board of Directors. She served as the Innovation for Job Creation Committee Chair as a Member of the Board of Directors of Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County. As an advocate for citizens with special needs, Kirsten was appointed by Governor Markell and served for both the Delaware Governor’s Advisory Board for Exceptional Citizens and the Delaware State Board of Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dispensers. She is a member of the International Economic Development Council and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
