Ms. Trovato is a senior consultant at Vita Nuova working on redevelopment of contaminated properties. She specializes in providing environmental risk management services to clients. Ms. Trovato has also supported clients in real estate transfers and the transaction process as a licensed real estate professional in the state of Maryland. Ms. Trovato brings a wealth of experience to her position having served in leadership role at the USEPA on Land Revitalization.
Prior to her career in real estate redevelopment, Ms. Trovato spent 35 years with the USEPA. She served in seven major organizations within USEPA headquarters (Office of Research and Development, Office of the Administrator, Office of Water, Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Environmental Information, and Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response) and in Region 3.
Ms. Trovato’s accomplishments can be attributed to hard work, clear goals, a strong emphasis on implementation, and a collegial and cooperative approach involving a broad group of stakeholders to craft creative and innovative solutions. Ms. Trovato has consistently received outstanding performance evaluations and awards, such as the President’s Meritorious Executive Rank Award for leadership and the Service to America Career Achievement Medal for leadership and service, achieving results in environmental and public health protection, and building strong coalitions and partnerships to achieve environmental and public health goals.
Ms. Trovato received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1974. She undertook additional studies in chemistry, facilitation, negotiation, information management, management, and leadership throughout her career.
